‘Country Roads’ concert back again!
View(s):The legendary Country Roads charity concert for children is once again happening on October 19, 2025 at the Cinnamon Life hotel with local and foreign performers including the Mavericks from Germany.
Organised by the Country Music Foundation (CMF), the concert series started in 1988, is supported by Cargills and LOLC with print and TV media sponsors being finalized. This is the 37th anniversary show of the CMF. All proceeds are for children’s charities.
Through one of South Asia’s longest running concert series the CMF has donated millions of rupees to children’s charities including UNICEF and Save the Children for projects benefiting marginalised and deprived children. The last concert, on the 35th anniversary of this concert series – was held in October 2023 in Colombo. Concerts have been held and hosted in the past by Cinnamon Grand, Trans Asia (now Cinnamon Lakeside), Mount Lavinia Hotel among others.
