The Shi-en Ikebana & Floral Art Society will hold with its annual floral exhibition titled “A Tapestry of Flowers” on May 24 and 25 from 10.30 a.m. to 6.30 p.m, at the Ivy Room of the Cinnamon Grand. The exhibition will be accompanied by a special demonstration by renowned international floral artists “The Art of Flowers” on Sunday, May 25 at 10 a.m. at the Atrium of the Cinnamon Grand.

The exhibition will feature a wide array of Ikebana and Western floral art arrangements, reflecting both classical and contemporary styles. Members of the society will present meticulously crafted displays emphasizing harmony, balance and the beauty of nature.

Internationally acclaimed demonstrators Harijanto Setiawan, the Society’s Advisor, master florist and Ikebana artist (Sogetsu School), Ester Law,  and freestyle floral designer, Christina Yew, will share their unique techniques, cultural influences and artistic interpretations in live demonstrations giving visitors an opportunity to gain insight into diverse global perspectives.

Part proceeds of the exhibition will go towards the Thalassaemia unit at the Ragama Hospital. Tickets priced at Rs.500 for the exhibition will be available at the gate. For tickets for the demonstration priced at Rs.4,000 (with refreshments), please contact  0777900848.
