St. Peter’s College felicitate rugby team sponsors at gala ceremony

St. Peter’s College, Colombo, the current title holders of the elite Schools Rugby League and Knockout Championships, held a grand ceremony to felicitate their sponsors, who have committed their support for the upcoming season.

The number of sponsors who have stepped forward to boost the confidence and commitment, will give the Dulaj Navodya-led side all the energy they require in the quest to defend their double crowns. Coached by the renowned Sanath Martis, the St. Peter’s rugby team also logo unveiled their new team logo with the slogan ‘Our legacy of passion and glory’, while revealing their playing outfits at the gala ceremony held at the Cinnamon Grand Hotel in Colombo.

“Our sports programmes at St. Peter’s have fostered many talents, and rugby is a primary sport with many achievements. The profound support of the sponsors will surely help shape the journeys of our players,” stated the Rector of
St. Peter’s College, Rev. Fr. Rohitha Rodrigo, while thanking the sponsors.

Among the sponsors who have stepped forward to support St. Peter’s rugby this season Kotmale have come aboard as platinum sponsors, while the longstanding generosity and commitment of TDM International will continue for yet another year as the principal sponsor. Atmos Solution Inc have come forward as gold sponsor while AJ Medichem will contribute as silver sponsor, alongside Nalin Jayasundera. Ceylon Agro Industries Ltd continues their support as bronze sponsor, in addition to Gordone Clothing, the official clothing sponsor, and Hemas Hospitals Thalawathugoda, the official healthcare partner.

The rugby team, well-wishers, old boys, representatives of sponsors and school officials were present at the occasion, including the members of the St. Peter’s College Rugby Foundation, headed by Samson Roy. The event was organised by the Sponsorship Felicitation Committee headed by Dilshan Perera.
