Holy Cross Gampaha win Girls’ ‘C’ title
View(s):Holy Cross College, Gampaha emerged Girls ‘C’ Division champions at the All-Island Inter-School Under-19 Badminton Team Championship conducted by the Sri Lanka Schools Badminton Association and concluded at Royal College Indoor Stadium in College last week.
The Holy Cross Gamopaha badminton team beat Sujatha Vidyalaya, Nugegoda 2-1 and Hindu Ladies College 3-0 in their group stage matches. In the semi-final encounter they beat St. Bridget’s College 3-0 before they beat Sujatha Vidyalaya, Nugegoda 3-1 in the final, to clinch the ‘C’ Division Girls Championship.
