One killed due to earth slip near Karapitiya Hospital
View(s):One person was killed, and three were injured after a mound of earth collapsed at a building construction site near the Karapitiya Hospital in Galle, at around 12.30 p.m. yesterday.
Police said when four construction workers attempted to fortify the area to safeguard a four-story building, they were buried under the soil due to an earth slip.
The Police also said one construction worker died on admission, while the other three were undergoing treatment at the Karapitiya Base Hospital, with one in a critical condition in the Intensive Care Unit.
