AISAN INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL GRADUATION – 2023
View(s):The Graduation of the class on 2023 of Asian International School was held at the Cinnamon Lakeside on 7th July 2023.
Asian International School is recognised as the pioneer school in Sri Lanka to have a graduation ceremony on the lines of high school graduations in the US. The glittering event this year was attended by a large number of family and friends of the graduating class which comprised 55 students.
Deshamanya Dr. Radhika Coomaraswamy was the Chief Guest at this event. She addressed the graduating class and impressed on them the importance of values such as integrity, empathy and respect for the environment. The Principal Harshana Perera noted that it was an honour for AIS to have a Chief Guest of the caliber of Dr. Radhika Coomaraswamy who has made a mark in the international stage and brought much credit to Sri Lanka.
The valedictorians of the class of 2023 David Maurice and Rangeshckar Elankeeran both delivered inspiring speeches which challenged the graduating class to make a difference as they step out to the world. They also paid humble tributes to the teachers and other staff of AIS.
The outgoing Head Prefects Shria Nair and Chathma Punchihewa also delivered moving speeches thanking parents and teachers for their unqualified support and encouragement over the years, specially during the difficult period of Pandemic and the Economic crisis.
The Graduation Ceremony concluded with the entire class joining together in song which received resounding applause from the audience.
