Book on Sri Dalada Maligawa in Tamil
View(s):A book on Sri Dalada for schoolchildren by the Sunday Times correspondent L B Senaratne was presented to University of Peradeniya Vice Chancellor Professor M D Lamawansa recently.
Chief Librarian of the Univesity Dr M Maheswaran wrote the Foreword and reviewed the final proofs of the book.
Author L B Senaratne said he thought of producing a Tamil edition, after the English and Sinhala editions, as he had seen students from the North and East visiting the Sri Dalada Maligawa and walking through the sacred building without knowing what is within or how the Sacred Tooth Relic had come into the country.
The book was also presented to Diyawadana Nilame Pradeep Nilanga Dela; the Media Division helped in this publication.
