Knockouts of U-16 Invitational 10s today at Pallekele
Firm favourites Isipathana,
St. Anthony’s, Vidyartha, Zahira, Trinity, S. Thomas’, Science and St. Joseph’s qualified to play in the Cup quarter-finals of the All-Island Schools Under-16 10s Invitational Rugby Tournament, which began at Pallekele Rugby ground yesterday.
Mahanama, Prince of Wales, Sumangala Panadura, Wesley, D.S. Senanayake, Sumangala Kandy, Maliyadeva and Kingswood entered the quarter-finals of the Bowls segment, while Dharmaraja, Sarasavi Uyana MV, Devapathiraja, Piliyandala Central, Ruchmond, Kegalu MV and St. Sylvester’s qualified to play in the Shield quarter-finals.
Matches will begin from 8.00a.m. today with the Shield quarter-finals and the final of the quarter-finals will be played at around 11.40a.m. The competition will continue with the semi-finals of the Shield, Bowl, Plate and Cup segments, followed by the finals from 2.45p.m.
