Veteran dramaturge M. Safeer’s directorial movie debut ‘Here after Bygone…’ or ‘Mama Nowei Mama’ has been selected for the ‘Cinema of the World’ category at the Dhaka International Film Festival (DIFF)in Bangladesh. The 22nd edition of the Dhaka International Film Festival will be held from January 14 to 22, 2023 in Dhaka, the capital of Bangladesh.

Veteran actress Dilhan Ekanayake and veteran actor Sanjeeva Upendra are featuring in the movie cinematography by Suran Bopitiya and edited by Asanka Wickramasiri. The music is by Dumindu Kadigamuwa and line producer is M. Safras.

Mahil Madhusanka, Tharindu Ileperuma, Sampath Rajapaksa, Nirosh Kaviratne and Sujeewa Patinisekara contributed to the production of the movie ‘Here after By gone…’as producers.

M. Safeer has been invited to represent as a member of the selection committee of the ‘West Meet East Screen Play Lab’ South Asian Project which is held concurrently with the festival. M. Safeer is a veteran theatre practitioner, who added a variety of modernity to Sri Lankan theatre fraternity.

M. Safeer and M. Tharindu Ileperuma, on behalf of the producers will be scheduled to leave the island to participate in the 22nd Dhaka International Film Festival.
