“Heavenly Night”, the Annual Christmas Carol
View(s):The Newman Society, Catholic Students’ Movement of the University of Peradeniya, celebrated “Heavenly Night”, the annual Christmas Carol Service on 17th December 2022 at the University Chapel.
The gathering involved distinguished guests and the student community of University of Peradeniya, united together to spread the rays of hope and joy the Christmas season emanates. Rev. Fr. Jude Peries, Spiritual Director of the National Seminary of Our Lady of Lanka was the chief guest and his presence made the event more special. Rev. Fr. Ruwan Perera OMI, the Chaplain, University of Peradeniya coordinated the gathering. The birth of Jesus was reflected and glorified in prayers and music.
The aura of the event was intensified with the enthusiastic engagement of the gathering. With joy and emotions at peak, we, the Newman family would like to thank all our benefactors, well wishers and students for their great support in making the evening an evergreen memory to remember.
