University of Peradeniya Convocation from Feb 22 – 24
View(s):The 82nd convocation of the University of Peradeniya will be held under strict health guidelines from February 22 to 24 at the campus gymnasium.
More than 3500 graduates will receive their qualifications at the convocation.
The convocation will be presided by University Chancellor K.M. de Silva and Vice-Chancellor M. D. Lamawansa, Deputy Vice Chancellor S. Madujith and the deans of the university will attend the ceremony.
On the first day of the convocation, Arts graduates from the Post Graduate Institute of Humanities and Social Sciences and the Arts faculty will receive their certificates. On the second day of the convocation, graduates from the agriculture and veterinary medicine faculties and the Post Graduate Institute of Agriculture will receive their certificates. On the final day of the convocation, the graduates from the Allied Health Science, Dental, Medical Engineering and Management faculties will receive their degrees and certificates.
The largest number of graduates this year will be from the Engineering faculty, and the lowest number from the commerce stream.
