Exams postponed and public services restricted due to COVID situation

All institutional exams have been postponed until further notice due to the present COVID situation, the Examinations Department announced recently.

Accordingly, 13 institutional examinations that were due to be held from August 20-31 in Colombo and the main towns will be postponed.

Among the examinations postponed is the selection test of LLB Degree Programme 2021/22 of the Open University which was scheduled to be held on August 21.

Meanwhile, the Examination Department said it will restrict public services due to the present COVID situation and requested those seeking services such as obtaining certificates, making changes to names etc. to resort to online submissions or email request.

Examinations Commissioner General SanathPujithasaid those who need the services of the exams department to visit the department’s website www.doenets.lk or by download the department mobile app “DoE”.

“Depending on the emergency need for certificates, the Examination Department will make arrangements to send certificates to the Foreign Affairs Ministry and to the applicant without delay, via speed post,” he said. (NF)
