Authors, publishers invited to submit their work for school library licences

The Education Ministry has invited authors and publishers to submit their printed books and manuscripts to obtain school library licences.

Suitable books in language, literature, children’s books, science and technology, information technology, aesthetics, social sciences and publications on literary works and translation services in Sinhala, Tamil and English will be granted licences.

Authors and publishers interested in obtaining the licence were requested to personally submit their publications and manuscripts to the Education Advisory Publishing Board (EAPB).

School library licences would not be issued for books published parallel to text books published by the Education Publication Department.Licences already issued and valid for a period of 5 years, if expiring, could be renewed by submitting a request to the EPAB.
