OpenArc Campus has planned to start their flagship Diploma programme, ‘Industrial Diploma in Software Development’ (IDSD) in December 2019. The enrolments are now open. This programme is an ideal one for those who want to build up a career in software development. Apart from, software design, software engineering, quality assurance and software testing practices, the participants get hands-on experience in four programming languages. Finally, they are guided to develop a commercial software as an individual project, as an evaluation criterion. If you want to become a ‘World class programmer’, this is the stepping stone.

Those who perform well in the IDSD programme are offered scholarships to read for entire three years of the Bachelor of Information Technology degree programme. Apart from that they are offered one year paid internship followed by employment at our own software house, OpenArc Systems Management (Pvt) Ltd, the market leader in Financial and merchant banking software.

This programme received a major boost in the year 2015, when the University of Moratuwa recognised IDSD as an entry qualification, to follow their BIT degree, in place of three passes in GCE(A/L) , subject to an aptitude test conducted by them Hence, if you are keen in developing an IT career and have a passion for it, join our IDSD, without wasting time and money in doing GCE(A/L)s. However, you need to have a ‘Credit’ pass for Mathematics in GCE(O/L), to apply for the degree and face an IQ test conducted by the University.

OpenArc Campus commenced registering students for the new academic year for BIT degree of University of Colombo (CBIT). OpenArc is the only pioneering institution teaching BIT, since the inception of the programme in the year 2000. The Full time batch of CBIT is scheduled to commence in the first week of January. OpenArc Campus students have produced excellent results, including three First classes, several second uppers and lowers, to-date.

OpenArc Campus will commence teaching for BIT degree of University of Moratuwa (MBIT), on 30th of December 2019. The registrations for the current intake (17th intake) is over. OpenArc campus was recognised by the University of Moratuwa as a partner organisation in the year 2015. Since then, OpenArc Campus students have produced excellent results in MBIT examinations. The campus offers a lot of additional courses on top of the University curriculum for the ‘Full-time’ students. Those includes, Soft-skills development, Japanese Language and Industrial training. They are offered, internship during the final year and job placements too. OpenArc would register students for the 2020 intake in April/May 2020.
