St. Joseph’s College Colombo (55 points) and Museaus College, Colombo (52 points) emerged boys and girls champions  at the 50th Sir John Tarbet Junior Athletic Championship concluded at the Sugathadasa Stadium Colombo yesterday.

Lyceum college Wattala (46 points) became the runner up in the boys segment followed by D. S Senanayaka College with 42 points in the third place.In the girls events, Visakha Vidyalaya with 31 points emerged first runner up followed by Our Lady of Victories Convent, Moratuwa (29 points) in the third place. M.Kaushan of De Mazenod College Kandana and Seneka Gunarathna of Colombo International School Kandy won the boys and girls best athlete awards.

Kaushan won the award for his performance in the Under 15 boys long jump event (6.49m) while Seneka’s clocked  25:07 sec in the Under 15 200m girls to adjudge best girls’ athlete.
