Blue Water’s, Wadduwa grounded SriLankan Airlines in the Men’s final while Amaya Lake, Dambulla beat Cinnamon Grand in the Women’s final to retain the Travel Trade Sports Club Cricket ‘Sixes’ titles at its 42nd edition, held at the Steel Corporation Grounds, Athurugiriya, last Sunday.

Forty-one men’s teams and 13 women’s teams participated in the tournament which was sponsored by Spence Travels for the 18th time.

Blue Water reached the final defeating Club Hotel Dolphin, Waikkala, Amaya Lake, Dambulla, Galle Face Hotel, and Cinnamon Bay, Beruwela.

SriLankan Airlines on their way to the final beat Camelot Beach, Negombo, Centara Ceysands, Aluthgama, Wild Coast, Yala, Infinity Vacations, and Jetwing Sea, Negombo.

The 2018 runners–up, Cinnamon Grand lost to Jetwing Sea, Negombo in the quarter-finals.

Women’s final: Cinnamon Grand 71 for 4 (5) (M. Udayashanthi 12, G. Gamagedera 1/12, G. Pushpakanthi 1/13, B. Sevwandi 1/20, D. Ekanayake 1/12) lost to Amaya Lake, Dambulla 74 for 2 (4) (G. Pushpakanthi 34 not out, Alisha Grero 1/25, Rasika Edirisinghe 1/9)
