Ananda College Colombo and Musaeus College Colombo impressed at the Ritzbury All-Island School Play Day Tennis Carnival worked off at the Sri Lanka Tennis Association (SLTA) courts.

Ananda College qualified to the finals in all three segments – Green Ball, Orange Ball and Red Ball — while Musaeus College girls appeared in two finals.

While Ananda emerged Green Ball winners in the Boy’s segment, St. Peter’s College, Colombo were placed runners-up. Next to Green Ball Girls segment winners, Musaeus College, Newstead College, Negombo finished as runners-up.

Ananda College went on to win the Orange Ball Boy’s segment, pushing down Maliyadeva College, Kurunegala to the runners-up position. In the Girls segment, Ave Maria Convent, Negombo overcame Musaeus College, to emerge Orange Ball winners.

Visakha Vidyalaya were better than Kalutara Balika Vidyalaya as they went on to win the Red Ball Girls segment, while St. Peter’s College had the privilege of beating Ananda College, to emerge Red Ball Boys segment winners.
