Mahela Udawatte an Dinesh Chandimal shared and unbroken 100 runs for the third wicket to guide defending champions NCC to record a convincing 67-run win over Bloomfield in the second round match of the Premier T20 cricket tournament played in the morning session at BRC Ground.

Udawatte made a quick-fire 57 off 36 inclusive of four boundaries and four sixes while Dinesh Chandimal hit 41 in 28 balls with two boundaries and three sixes to reach a formidable score.

NCC taking first lease of the wicket saw their openers Lahiru Udara and skipper Upul Tharanga giving them a flying start putting on 83 runs in just 48 balls which laid the foundation for them to make a formidable score of 192 for 2.

Bloomfield in their run chase was never going to be near the target as they lost wickets at regular intervals and slid to 97 for 4 in the 15th over before being restricted to a score of  125 runs.

Colts CC too recorded their second successive victory thanks to a knock of 63 in 37 balls with seven boundaries and two sixes by Priyamal Perera which helped them record an easy 53-run wins over Negombo CC in the match played at the Police Park.

Colts CC taking first lease of the wicket made a challenging score of 174 for 8 and Negombo CC in their run chase saw spinners Akila Dhananjaya and Dilruwan Perera running through their batting to bowl them out for 121 runs.

Galle CC continued their giant killing performance with Harsha Vithana and Rajeewa Weerasinghe steering them with an unbroken 66-run stand for the seventh wicket, paving the way for them to secure a comfortable 64-run win against Badureliya CC in the match played at CCC ground.

Army SC too won their second successive match with a 90-run win over Navy SC while Saracens SC and Air Force SC chalked up their first win of the tournament defeating Panadura SC and Kurunegala YCC.
