St Joseph’s recorded an easy first innings win over St. Benedict’s in the Under 19 inter-school cricket encounter concluded at Darley Road yesterday. The second day’s play saw St. Joseph’s resuming from their overnight score of 244 for 5 going on to make a score of 301 for 7 declared. St. Benedict’s in turn were bundled out for a low score of 120 runs with Shalinda Seneviratne and Ashian Daniel who together shared six wickets doing the damage.

Royal helped by an unbeaten ton by Pasindu Sooriyabandara and half tons by Ahan Sachinthana and Kamil Mishara dominated proceedings against Wesley in the drawn match at the SSC ground.

Richmond and Nalanda came out on top against St. Aloysius Galle and Maliyadeva in the two drawn Under 19 matches concluded at Galle and Campbell Place.
