‘Klick and win’, a photography competition open to all on the theme ‘Children are our future resources’ was launched this week by the Sri Lanka Malay Association (SLMA) Rupee Fund.

Competitors should take a picture using only a smart phone depicting the theme, provide a caption consisting of 15 words or fewer and send their submissions to klickchild@gmail.com, along with their names and contact details.

All photographs where the children are identifiable should include the parents’ permission.

There is no age restriction and anyone who has a smart phone with a keen eye on capturing the importance of children may participate. Each competitor can submit up to three entries.

The deadline for entries is 4 p.m. on November 15.

The SLMA’s Rupee Fund has organized this competition to celebrate Universal Children’s Day on November 20.

The winners of the competition will be chosen by an independent panel of judges and will be informed on e-mail. The awards ceremony will be held on November 21 at the Padang Complex, Kew Road, Colombo 2.

The competition is part of the SLMA Rupee Fund’s 65th anniversary celebrations. The other events included an auction of paintings, an exhibition of handwork of children from its pre-school, a charity dinner and a charity raffle.
