Cabinet directs MoE to seek PC approval to appoint School Inspectors
View(s):The Cabinet has directed the Ministry of Education (MoE) to seek approval from the Provincial Councils (PC) to its proposal (SI).
The move came amidst protests from PCs about the MoE’s proposal to appoint SIs to supervise a range of functions including the quality of Teaching in schools and the use of resources.
The Cabinet has decided to consider proposals from the PCs and re-submit the proposal for consideration.
Accordingly, the MoE has now submitted the proposal to the PCs for their views. – DW
