KDU International Research Conference in September 11-14

The General Sir John Kotelawala Defence University (KDU) will hold its 11th consecutive conference from September 11-14, at the KDU premises in Ratmalana, on the theme ‘Securing Professional Excellence through Collaboration’.

The KDU in a press release said, “It would be an ideal forum for academia, professionals and practitioners, to meet and exchange views in an academic environment.

“The KDU conference is enriched with the participation of many local and foreign academics in the fields of Defence & Strategic Studies, Engineering, Medicine, Law, Management, Social Sciences & Humanities, Allied Health Sciences, Built Environment & Spatial Sciences, and Computing. Hence individuals from the Tri-forces and the Police Dept of Sri Lanka, are able to present their Research at a single forum,” the release added.

The inauguration ceremony on September 13 will be graced by keynote speakers, 2007 Nobel Peace Laureate Prof. Mohan Munasinghe and Dr. Sarath Gunapala.

Dr. Gunapala is a prominent scientist who leads the Infrared Photonics Group at the NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory, and won the NASA Outstanding Leadership Medal in 2014.

The deadline for the submission of Full Papers/Extended Abstracts is May 31, 2018. Guidelines and further information could be obtained from www.kdu.ac.lk/irc2018.
