GCE Advanced Level IT paper to be answered online: Exams Dept
View(s):Students sitting the Information Technology (IT) question paper for GCE (Advanced Level) will be able to answer the paper online, instead of writing them on answer sheets, said Exams Commissioner Sanath Pujitha.
He said the current practice of students submitting written answers to practical questions, due to unavailability of computer facilities, will be eliminated with improved facilities, enabling students to get better practical knowledge
“Students need not fear, as instructions are being dispatched through the respective schools, as to how the exam should be conducted, and 2 rehearsals to be conducted before the exams are conducted online” he said.
“Students will be informed of the closest centre where they could conduct their practicals online,” he added. Private institutions, computer labs, Nenasala centres, and State Universities too will be used to conduct the exams. – DW
