Mahanama, Mahinda dominate drawn games
Mahanama Colombo and Mahinda Galle dominated proceedings in their drawn Under-19 matches against Dharmapala and Dharmasoka MV concluded at Pannipitiya and Galle yesterday.
In the match at Pannipitiya saw Dharmapala resuming from their overnight score of 53 for 1 going to make 258 with overnight batsman Malith Sandakelum making a half ton.
This was in reply to Mahanama’s formidable score of 371 made on day one. Malindu Maduranga top scored with a career best knock of 184 in just 154 balls inclusive of 27 boundaries and two sixes.
An allround performance by K.K. Kevin was the highlight of the drawn match at Galle. Mahinda having declared their first inning score on their overnight score o f 339 for 9 restricted Dharmasoka MV to a score of 170.
