Sandun Chamika leads Tour de Air Force

Sandun Chamika of Sri Lanka Ports Authority emerged as the Tour Leader at the end of the second day of the 18th Tour de Air Force from Puttalam to Vavuniya, the second stage of the event to a distance of 138km.

To date Sandun Chamika has clocked five hours, 47 minutes and 34 seconds. He has completed 266km.

Sandun was the winner of the first stage with a time of 2hrs. 46mts and 12secs from Colombo to Puttalam.

The second stage held yesterday from Puttalam to Vavuniya where Sandun Chamika returned a time of 3 hours, 1 and 28 secs.

Overall second is Samantha Lakmal of Air Force with a time of 5hrs 47mts and 34secs. In third place is Naveen Ruchira with a time of 5hrs 47mts and 37secs.

The final stage will be held today from Vavuniya to Jaffna. A distance of 148km. The event is being held to mark the 66th Anniversary of the Sri Lanka Air Force. The total distance is 415km.
