‘Sam the Man’, internationally acclaimed entertainer, will leave shortly to the USA to entertain the Thomians at their annual Christmas Party, Sing Along and Thomian Dance in California. This will be Sam’s sixth tour of the States.

In a career that spans fifty six years, Sam will embark on his fifty third international tour. Having performed in Salzburg-Austria, Canada, London, Japan, Australia, New Zealand, Lusaka-Zambia – Bahrain, Dubai, India, Pakistan and Tenerife in the Canary Islands, Nihal Samarasinghe, popularly known as ‘Sam the Man’, is one of Sri Lanka’s true international entertainers.

His last performance was at the Y.W.C.A. ‘Sing Along’ last week, before leaving to U.S.A.

He will return to Sri Lanka immediately after his performance in the USA as he is scheduled to perform at New Year’s Eve Dance at the Harbour Room of the Grand Oriental Hotel in Colombo.

This will be his third successive year at the GOH. Sam will be accompanied by Nishantha Fernando on Keyboard and vocals, Channa Vanderbona on Lead guitar and vocals, Prasad Fernando on bass and vocals, Suraj Peiris on Drums and vocals.

They are all accomplished musicians of the Group ‘Heart and Soul’.

Sam is featured every Saturday at the Blue Water Hotel in Wadduwa, at the Harbour Room of the Grand Oriental Hotel in Colombo on Sundays and at the Terrace of the Mount Lavinia Hotel on Mondays.
