A Japanese Fair was held recently at Waters Edge complete with folk dancers and origami exhibits.

The evening’s performance  featured an International Japanese folk dance troupe and traditional drummers .

The various stalls selling Sushi and Sashimi owing to the weather were  moved inside. A large collection of origami models produce by the Sri Lanka Origami Association were on display.
The association was established back in 1996. They entertained the crowd by showing off their skills to young and old, creating miniature flowers and animals.

The children were not disheartened by the weather and were visibly thrilled by traditional Japanese folk dancers that sang and produced a small samurai combat showcasing Japanese
culture.
