From December 1, you will have to pay 30 percent more for the water supplied to you by the National Water Supply and Drainage Board (NWSDB).
You will have to pay Rs. 16 a unit for the first ten units or 10,000 litres. For the next five units, you will have to pay Rs. 26 a unit. At present, you pay Rs. 12 a unit for the first five units and Rs. 16 a unit for the next five units.

Under the revised rates, the monthly bill of a household using 15 units a month will rise from Rs. 355 to Rs. 621. The service charge also has been increased in line with the usage. To save money, the best thing you could do is to use water sparingly.
