Maiden centuries scored by Pasindu Gonagala and Manoj Jayaweera for Rukmalgama Cricket Club in the ongoing Colombo District Cricket Association (CDCA) Division III 50-over League Tournament 2016, proved to be of no consequence.Gonagala scored a fluent 107 in 153 balls, inclusive of a six and twelve fours for Rukmalgama vs Lanka Warriors at Kotte, but was not good enough, as Rukmalgama lost the game by three wickets.

Rukmalgama 236 for 8 in 50 overs (Lanka Warriors 238 for 7 in 40.5 overs)  Debutant, Manoj Jayaweera out of his sick bed, scored a vigorous 108 in 60 balls, inclusive of nine sixes and 10 fours against Noel Dias CC at Poregedera, Padukka, but the match ended in a no-result due to rain.  Rukmalgama 258/9 (29)/NDCC 66/1 (9.2)  Rukmalgama CC won their opening match by eight wickets, beating the Old Senanayakians at Padukka and have one more match in hand on 10th April again at Padukka. - LR
