With the success attained by its latest construction project in Maldives, the Nawaloka Group is looking for contracts in Cambodia and Myanmar, top officials said.

“We are sure that this construction project would place the Nawaloka Construction Company’s name in high esteem in the Maldives for future construction projects and also on the global list of International construction companies,” Nawaloka Construction CEO Kalana Alwis told the media this week.

The Nawaloka Group is constructing a 5-Star Hotel on Vakkaru Island in the Maldives valued at US$ 60 million, he said, adding that some 120 villas, including 55 water villas and a SPA, with all modern five star facilities would be designed and built by the company.
The island’s location in the Northern Maldives is approximately 125 km away from Male and 30 km away from the domestic airport of Dharvandoo, he said

The proposed hotel is owned by Egypt-based Travco Group, “We are sure that the construction of this project would place the Nawaloka Construction Company name in the Republic of Maldives for future construction projects and also on the global list of international construction companies,” Mr. Alwis said.
