Labour discussion at the American Centre
View(s):The American Centre organising a presentation on ‘Labour Rights in the Garment Industry: Getting Government – Industry To Work Together’ followed by a discussion by Dr. Sanchita Saxena, US-based researcher tomorrow at 5 pm at the American Centre auditorium at Galle Face, Colombo.
Dr. Saxena is the executive director of the Institute for South Asia Studies. (ISAS) at the University of California at Berkeley and the director of the Chowdhury Center for Bangladesh Studies under the ISAS.
Prior to joining ISAS, she was the assistant director of Economic Programmes at the Asia Foundation.
