Harsha Abeyaratne will present a piano recital at the Lionel Wendt Theatre on Sunday July 5 at 7 p.m. in aid of Project Joy.
Project Joy’s core mission is to establish the infrastructure, both in terms of equipment and professional expertise, in Sri Lanka to provide for the early intervention in the event of neurological disorders, such as epilepsy in children.

It will also facilitate medical professionals from the United States travelling to Sri Lanka for short term assignments to assist Sri Lankan medical professionals in running the Children’s Epilepsy Unit at Lady Ridgeway Hospital (LRH) and provide for Sri Lankan doctors to travel to the United States to receive advanced training in various American hospitals in epilepsy.  The concert is to launch awareness of the project in Sri Lanka.

The recital is organised by JC Entertainments (Pvt) Ltd , an event management company that specializes in organizing jazz, classical and opera concerts with musicians who have Sri Lankan roots. Proceeds are donated to a pre-chosen charity.
