Young photographer Ravindra Ranasinghe having been made an Associate of the Federation International de L’Art Photographique, the world body of photography, is holding his first exhibition, “Vision beyond the frame- A passion revealed’, this weekend at the Lionel Wendt Gallery.

“If I were to pinpoint a singular passion in life, to me it would be photography. I spoil myself with it, I indulge in it and I immerse myself in it. It is this unrelenting passion that allows my subconscious to appreciate, observe and capture, everything from the commonplace to the exotic,” he says.

“It’s only been five years since my passion for photography was fuelled, but it is a journey where I have presented hundreds of submissions to both national and international salons and competitions. This voyage has been one of exciting discovery with each laurel pushing me to look beyond boundaries,” he says.

Ravindra is deeply grateful to his mentors, veteran photographers Panduka De Silva and Henry Rajakaruna for their guidance.
Ravindra’s exhibition which opened on Friday is on today till 7.30 p.m. at the Lionel Wendt Gallery.
