Nalanda Badminton team wins Under 19 super ‘A’ championship
View(s):Nalanda College Badminton team emerged 2015 Super ‘A’ champions at the Under 19 age group championship organized by the schools Badminton Association and held at the Royal College Indoor Badminton courts.
Unbeaten throughout the tournament Nalanda beat S. Thomas’ College Mount Lavinia and Royal College Colombo during the group stage 5 – Nil respectively and Richmond College Galle 3- 1 in the Semi-Final.
Nalanda were confronted by the unbeaten Dharmasoka College Ambalangoda in the final where both teams comprised junior national level players. Finally Nalanda were able to beat their opponents 3 -1 in a keenly contested game.
