The waiting game

A meeting between lovers of a certain game was disturbed by an opposing party at their headquarters recently. This set of lovers of this particularly game changed the venue and went to the extent of holding the meeting in secret at a leading hotel. Even this meeting was broken into and the officials scattered and met at the residence of the chief of this game down by the seaside. It seems as if efforts are being made to break up this set up and to form a new body of officials for this world recognised sport. Will they succeed? Let’s wait and see!

Winners all the way

The World Cup is over and some have gained millions out of it. The talk in sporting circles is that players are not playing to win but to lose! Win or lose there are some players who have reached the 80 million mark. Where will all this end. Is this luck or talent?

The fight back

The much talked to about TV channel which was facing a bleak future has started to fight back with several people keen to see it coming up again. The TV Channel is now focussing on things like entertainment and yoga in a bold bid to comeback into the scene again. Earlier they had to get rid of staff due to strict regulations imposed on them but believe me… They are fighting back.

Only for a select few

It is reported that a big wig in the sporting scene had met a leading personality outside the House where Laws are made and he had insisted that certain changes be made in sporting circles. The sports big wig had told him to send him a letter and he would see what can be done about certain things. So it looks as if some changes are needed all one has to do is write a letter. But can everyone yield such powers but only a select few!

Is it correct?

It is a well known fact that some leading cricketers have been asked to stay on and help the game in this sunny isle in whatever way they can. One cannot play this game forever. It is best to collect as much as you can when the time is ripe. But is it correct to agree to play for foreign teams when you have practically hit the jack pot and not help the country where it all started?
