There has been a good response to the recent Business Times (BT) call to help struggling inventors and those with innovative ideas, profiling their stories and enabling them to pursue their dreams to commercialise their products.

With regard to the story published in the BT on February 22 about the inventor of a Massage Machine and his struggle to find an investor to market it, the Jinasena Innovations and Technology Institute, training arm of the Jinasena Group of Companies which produces a range of industrial and domestic machinery, is exploring the possibility of helping Prasad Jeevan Appuhamy, the maker of the machine.

Mr. Appuhamy had a discussion with Santha Herath of Jinasena’s at their Ekala, Ja-Ela factory to find out whether the casing of the machine could be modified so that the parts could be easily fitted into the casing and to make the machine look handy and attractive.

This series is coordinated by BT Innovations writer Quintus Perera who could be reached at q.perera@yahoo.com or 0777764672.
