A Sinhala adaptation of British playwright Ray Cooney’s ‘Funny Money’ goes on the boards under the directorial vision of Dharmapriya Dias as “Saadaya Maarai Salli Hamarai” at 3.30 and 6.30 on March 1 at Town Hall auditorium, Puttalam. The cast will consist of Gihan Fernando , Jayani Senanayake , Giriraj Kaushalya , Anuradha Perera , Dayadewa Edirisinghe, Dharmapriya Dias ,Premjayantha Kapuge , Aloka Sampath , Anuradha Mallawaarachchi. The adaptation is done by Saman Pushpa Liyanage , stage lightings Ranga Samarakone, set designing by Wasantha Ratnayake, stage manager Aruna Jayasena, costume designer- Gihan Fernando, make up- Prem Jayantha Kapuge, music – Ruwan Walpola , line producer – Ranga Samarakoon.

The play is produced by Priyankara De Silva. The play revolves around a Sri Lankan couple (Mr and Mrs. Fernando) living in England for the past 30 years and they have undergone many hardships while helping family and friends.

An unbelievable fortune unexpectedly falls on to their lap. How much money affects and shapes lives of common folk is revealed through the drama ‘Saadaya Marai Salli Hamarai’ –While the cash flowed, the party was perfect.
