‘Lady Thilanka’ – A Grand Take Off at Thilanka Hotel

Thilanka Hotel, Kandy launched its newest organization, ‘Lady Thilanka Club’, with a grand scale inauguration ceremony recently. The Club has already enrolled 45 members from the cream of the Kandy society. Gamini Goonewardene, Managing Director and Timothy Paldano, General Manager, set the ball rolling for a perfect inauguration of the Ladies Club with high standards of service and many items of entertainment. The traditional dancing and décor blended perfectly with the theme.
There were 250 participants from the business community of Kandy. Thilanka had a well planned superb theme from the creative invitation onwards. The guests who received ‘Passport Invitations’ were pleasantly surprised to be warmly welcomed by a ‘Cabin Crew’ and ushered in through the aisle of a plane, and the flight taking off to heights of enthusiasm. The Pilots, Customs Officer and Air Hostess did a splendid job and the passengers were kept happy throughout the flight.
The Wine house, beverages stall were the main attractions for the invitees, who graced the occasion. It kept them busy while the Lady Thilanka Club activities were in progress. The dancing troupes also kept everyone entertained.
The vast array of mouth watering food consisted of International Action Corners. i.e. Mexican, Tako House, Seafood, Mongolian, Aappa Kade, Kebab House (B.B.Q.), Japanese Susi, Kata Gesma (Vade) and Asian Curry Corner. There was a variety of delicious desserts too.
