The Ceylon Chamber of Commerce in association with The Carbon Consulting Company is conducting an awareness raising seminar on “ISO-14067:Carbon Footprint of Products – Requirements and Guidelines for Quantification and Communication” for Sri Lanka’s corporates on July 18 at the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce auditorium. The chamber said the primary objective of organising this seminar is to provide expert knowledge and share practical experiences in adding value to the corporate firms and their products and services, support their sustainable initiatives and above all help to obtain a competitive edge over other competitors and to establish sustainable development in a highly dynamic environment.

Among the experts speaking at the event are Prof. Ajith De Alwis – Senior Lecturer, Department of Chemical and Process Engineering, University of Moratuwa; Dr. Sampath Wahala – Lecturer and Course Coordinator, EcoBusiness Management Special Degree Programme, Faculty of Management Studies, Sabaragamuwa University of Sri Lanka; and Ms. Lakmini Senadheera, Assistant Manager – Sustainability Solutions, Carbon Consulting Company.

This seminar is aimed at attracting industrialists, Quality Assurance experts, sector, Managers/ Consultants responsible for CSR initiatives, Sustainability managers, Government Agencies, Regulatory Authorities, Universities, Ministries, sectoral committee members and NGOs, etc, the chamber said.
