A colourful reception was arranged on board the Pakistan Navy ship SHAMSHEER which visited Colombo from May 13 to 15. Delicious Pakistani cuisine cooked on board by well trained Pakistan Navy Chefs was enjoyed by the large gathering of guests which included ministers, diplomats, senior naval officers, Government officials and members of the Pakistani community in Sri Lanka, besides officers of the High Commission of Pakistan.

Defence Attache Pakistan, Colonel Sheharyar Parvez Butt along with Captain Rasheed Zafar, Commanding Officer received the guests. Captain Rasheed made the welcome address which was followed by the cake cutting by the High Commissioner with the Commander Western Naval Command.

During their stay at Colombo, the ship crew along with their Commanding Officer and the Defence Attache participated in a beach clean-up.
