The Consumer Affairs Authority (CAA) on Friday seized some 5,000 kg of chillie and 3,000 kg of turmeric powder that had been adulterated

CAA officials said that the chillie and turmeric powder were mixed with fabric dye and flour, before being packed and sold to retail markets within and outside Colombo.
The warehouse where the illicit business had been taking place was located at Sri Sangarajah Mawatha, Colombo 10.
