The International Institute for Peace through Tourism (I.I.P.T) commemorated the 25th Anniversary of ‘The 1st Global Conference of ‘TOURISM a vital force for Peace’ at the United Nations WTM held in London’s Excel Center. It was in support of the Centenary of the Great War with its theme ‘NO MORE WAR’.

Nelson Mandela, Martin Luther King Jr. and Mahatma Gandhi were specially remembered and inducted on this special occasion as ‘Great Leaders Of Peace’

Sri Lanka’s Ambassador for Tourism and ICTP V. President Alston Koch opened the event with a specially written song for the occasion and received a ‘standing ovation’ from the World’s Ministers present and was later invited by  President Louis J D’Amore to the special IIPT committee for World Peace.

With Alston on the podium is Martin J Craigs C.E.O (PATA) Louis J D’Amore (President) Fiona Jefferys Chairperson United Nations WTM, felicitating the great leaders of Peace in our time, namely Mahathma Gandhi, Nelson Mandela and Martin Luther King Jr. at the UN  WTM in London.
