For you on Father’s Day

You gave me loving words of care,
Loving words of advice,
You are a father rare,
An example for the wise.

For me was your every prayer,
To all, happiness you would bring,
Oh Daddy! You are,
The Push on my swing!

You were always so merry,
You transformed my black skies into blue.
And oh! For everything you’ve done for me,
How can I ever thank you?
