Nakauchi to address Japanese Management Seminar

Akihiko Nakauchi, Chairman of Colombo Dockyard PLC Ltd will be the keynote speaker at the seminar on “Lean Journey towards Profits – The Japanese Way” to be held on March 6, 2012 in Colombo.
The seminar is being organised by the Japanese Graduates Alumni Association (JAGAAS) as part of a series of events to mark the 60th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Japan and Sri Lanka.
Since October 2009, Mr Nakauchi has functioned as Chairman of Colombo Dockyard PLC which is widely acknowledged to be one of the most successfully managed Japanese overseas enterprises here.

Resource persons at the seminar are Dr. M. Saman Dasanayaka of the Faculty of Management and Finance, University of Colombo;Parakrama Gunasekera, General Manager, Lean Enterprise, MAS Holdings and Rohan Pallewatte, Managing Director, Lanka Harness Pvt. Ltd.

The panelists are Prof. H.D. Karunarathne, Dean of the Faculty of Management and Finance, University of Colombo; Prof. P.S.M. Gunarathne, Professor in Finance, Faculty of Management and Finance, University of Colombo and Upananda Mallikarachchi, Advisor, FDK Lanka (Pvt.) Ltd.
