Devika Gamlathge was always interested in putting her artistic talents into practice. She had an idea of opening her own saree shop and she realized her dream, when she opened "DEVI" on exclusive saree shop on 1st December, 2011 at # 242, Kotte Road, (Jubilee Post), Mrihana, which has a unique collection of sarees, most of then are designer wear and sarees hand-painted by her, thus ensuring that you would find only one of a kind of saree.
There is also a wide selection of sarees, which include raw silks, raw cottons, hand embroidered sarees and a variety of Batic and Leopard sarees as well.
She opened her Bridal Salon at Mirihana, several years ago and is well known around Nugegoda and even far off places.
Those whom she dressed as Brides were truly satisfied with her work as she did everything with dedication, love and care.
She is a versatile person, who has many ideas of creativity, and is able to make wedding cakes, structures, bridal bouguet as well as handling make up and hair styles.
Her various talents are all God given, as she has never followed any course/classes in these relevant fields. "DEVI" saree shop and her bridal salon is under one roof and it will help all those who come to her.
