CFPS offers the world renowned LL.B degree from the University of London

Law is not just for lawyers! Law is relevant to everyone, not just those who work within the legal profession. It can be studied as an academic discipline in its own right as well as being the stepping-stone to a law career. Law provides the framework within which society operates, regulating almost all aspects of our lives. It is therefore of direct interest to all of us. Law graduates enter a wide range of professions, despite the desire to be a lawyer being perhaps the most likely reason for studying law at university. The skills you will develop during your study of a law degree are highly valued by employers and transferable to a wide range of contexts such as local government, politics, the civil service, business, management and administration.

CFPS ACADEMY OF LEGAL STUDIES (THE CFPS)

The CFPS is the Undisputed Market Leader in Legal Education in Sri Lanka. In fact they are the largest Private Institution in Sri Lanka that conducts lectures for law-related courses. The CFPS has been preparing students for the Law College Entrance Exam for the past 20 years. During this period over 3,500 of their students have entered the Law College and have become lawyers. The CFPS also conduct courses for the University of London LL.B since 2007.

They have the Diploma teaching status for the Diploma in Law of the University of London. The CFPS is a Registered Center for the University of London International Programmes. The University of London International Programmes

The University of London is truly one of the great universities of the world. A federation of 19 world class Colleges and 10 specialised institutes, with a student body of 160,000, its reputation for high academic standards has been built on the outstanding teaching and research of its Colleges since 1836. University of London degrees are recognised internationally by governments, universities, employers and professional bodies as being of a high academic quality and standard.

Since 1858, University of London degrees have been accessible to students all over the world through the University of London International Programmes, the longest standing flexible and distance learning programmes in the world. Over the years many exceptional people who have studied with the University of London International Programmes have shaped our world. Former students include seven Nobel Prize Winners, leaders of Commonwealth countries, government ministries, renowned authors, academics, judges and business leaders. Today, the University of London International Programmes is truly international in character with over 50,000 students in more than 190 countries.

Academic direction for all of the courses offered through the University of London International Programmes is provided by Colleges of the University. Academics at these Colleges develop the syllabuses, prepare the study materials, and are responsible for the assessment of the students. It also ensures that the standard of awards made to International Programmes students is maintained at the same level as the standard of awards made to students studying at one of the Colleges of The University.

UNIVERSITY OF LONDON INTERNATIONAL PROGRAMMES-LLB

The University of London International Programmes is a world renowned provider of legal education with more than 19,000 students in over 130 countries. For over 150 years, its LLB has been regarded as an ‘international gold standard’ in legal education and has provided the first step on a career route for many thousands of practising lawyers within the Commonwealth and around the world. The University of London LLB is a recognised qualification for professional legal purposes in Sri Lanka and is valued by employers – graduates become attorneys, judges, barristers and gain senior roles in the legal profession, business and the public sector.

Academic direction for the LLB is provided by six of the most prestigious Colleges of the University of London – Birkbeck; King College London, the London School of Economics and Political Science, Queen Mary, the School of Oriental and African Studies, and UCL (University College London).
