The English Camp at Hillwood College was a huge success

Flyers 2011, the English camp organized by the English Union of Hillwood College Kandy, one of the most famous schools in the hill capital of Sri Lanka was held from 1st -3rd of September in the school premises. It was a tremendous success with participation of 100 students and some of the students from invited schools in the Kandy Zone.

It was organized with the aim of enhancing the knowledge of English and presentation skills while improving the leadership qualities. The workshops were conducted by the panel of resource personnel who were trained in Hyderabad.

The 'Flyers 2011' reached its greater heights at the fire night on the 2nd day. It was a platform for the students to perform their talents.

Theirenthusiasm rose and everyone enjoyed every minute of it. The School sincerely thanks thier special invitee, manager of the school, Col. Ananda De Alwis for his active participation which encouraged the campers around the bonfire and also Mr. SujithBandulahewa for his precious time for being with us. The keen participation of the teachers and the students of the reputed schools also were very impressive.

It was mainly funded by the generous sponsorship of 'Aspirations Education' which
offers a comprehensive service to all students who seek their assistance to embark on overseas education. The teachers of English Union thank the manager of the Aspiration for their whole hearted contribution in this endeavor which made the event a greater success.

The Co-sponsors, the Education Times and Wijaya newspapers, provided us with certificates.Their whole hearted gratitude goes to Mr. SunandaKarunarathne and Ms. AmeenaRuwanpathirana of British Council Colombo for their support.
