Funday Times - A Poem for the week

The grease devil

By Tharushi Jayathilake, Kuda Kusum B.V., Bandarawela

The scary star of the year
Has brought a lot of fear
Many people who are dubious
Have found this devil ominous.

For some it is a thriller
And for some it is a chiller
For some he brings a shiver
But he is said to be a killer.

Wearing black and grease
To kill and rob at ease
He teases the young and old
Dares not to reach the bold.

Some say he’s bald
Some say he’s after gold
I think he’s a peril
This greasy, greasy devil.
