Nalanda and Vishaka emerged the winners of the Inter-school Air Rifle and Pistol Shooting Championship 2010 which was held at the Nalanda College Range. In this championship where 103 participants were on show Royal College ended up as the runners-up of the boys event whole Gothami Balika took the girls' second place. The third positions went to Thurstan College and Devi Balika Vidyalaya respectively.

The Air Pistol (boys) first place was shared between K.G.H.S. Peiris of Royal College and Wimukthi Priyankara of Thurstan College while boy's Air Rifle title was won by Sampath of Nalanda College.

In the Girls events Sanduni Perera of Vishaka Vidyalaya took the Air Pistol event while the Air Rifle title went to Sheruksha Kasim of Ananda Balika Vidyalaya.

Schools that took part in this championship were: Ananda Sastralaya, Isipatana MV, Mahasen (boys) Vidyalaya, Nikeweratiya, Nalanda Vidyalaya, Royal College, Richmond College, Sumangala Vidyalaya, Wariyapola and Thurstan College.

The Girl's schools that were on show ere : Ananda Balika Vidyalaya, Devi Balika Vidyalaya, Gothami Balika Vidyalaya, Mahasen Girls Vidyalaya, Sirimavo Bandanaike Vidyalaya, Southlands Balika Vidyalaya, Yasodara Balika Vidyalaya and Vishaka Vidyalaya.
