Education Times club members to cruise in the Jetliner

A day out on the Jetliner (Sri Lanka's first cruise ship) is day out to remember. For eight lucky ET Club members Monday the 15th of November will be their chance to experience floating luxury and the incredible scenery of the beautiful west coast of Sri Lanka.

The Jetliner was built in 1996 and at 95m by 17.4m it is the biggest passenger craft owned by the Sri Lankan Navy. During the conflict it ferried civilians, security forces personnel and goods between Trincomalee and Kankesanthurai ports. Now that peace has returned to Sri Lanka, the Jetliner has been refurbished and the Navy has teamed up with Sri Lanka Tourism Development Authority to run it as a luxury passenger ship.

The following eight ET Club members have been chosen to take their places onboard the Jetliner on Monday: Vajira from Appocalype, Hasantha from Gladiators, Thilanka from Silence Please, Akmal from Brain Hackers, Sirini from E-GIRLS, Anjalee from Aura Fammilian, Gayathri from Fab4 and Bachadini from Cash Crew. They will join members of the Education Times team and 400 enthusiastic sea lovers for the cruise.

Leaving from Colombo Harbour at 9am we will spend 4 hours cruising down to Galle. And if the sights of Colombo harbour, Galle harbour and all points in between aren't enough to keep us all entertained, the Jetliner will be offering snacks, drinks, a DJ for the Dance Floor, and movies for the kids. All the while, we'll be looked after by the crew who are highly trained members of the Sri Lankan Navy. These professional men and women rank amongst the best of the hospitality industry. After arriving in Galle we will get a bus back to Colombo.

It should be a magical day and a great experience, not just for our eight ET Club members, but for everyone on board. And so that you don't miss out on any of the excitement, we'll be back next week to tell you all about our wondrous day on the waves. You'll hear from our eight lucky winners and will be able to read all about the sights, sounds and experiences of a day off the coast of this beautiful island.
